Aviva 2.0

On April 17-19 2026, Cosecha Mundial (World Harvest) of Ciudad Victoria, Mexico held a youth conference, Aviva 2.0. At this conference, campers spent two nights on the church grounds, where they were able to hear the Word, fellowship, participate in several activities, and—for the first time ever—attend a basketball clinic.

On Friday night, the Youth Praise Team led a joyful and upbeat time of worship. Soon after, Pastor Jaime preached a powerful message about how God can be at the center of everything we do and how He can help us be successful. Jaime, Pastor Jaime’s daughter, also ministered a short but impactful message that reminded the youth of their identity in Christ. Afterward, local leaders Carlos and Viviana led the youth in several fun, faith-based activities that reinforced that same message.

That evening, Nick, a member of the Edinburg church and champion pitmaster, along with his team, grilled burgers for the guests—they were amazing. The evening was a great success, but it concluded for the Edinburg team as they headed to their hotel, while the campers remained on-site and continued enjoying activities led by Beto, Tania, Alex, Karina, and other leaders.

On Saturday morning, the Edinburg team traveled to the Planetarium and then met at the Athletic Arena basketball gym. Harvest Christian Academy (HCA–Edinburg) was invited to lead the basketball clinic. The clinic was led by two of HCA’s current coaches, both highly accomplished in basketball. HCA, a ministry of World Harvest Training Center, played a significant role in making this conference a success. Pastor/Superintendent/Athletic Director/Coach Jaime Gonzalez and Coach Juan Landa, a current professional basketball player and HCA coach, led the clinic.
It was inspiring to see the coaches not only teach basketball skills but also share what God has done in their lives through the sport. The kids—including some who were not players—participated and enjoyed the three-hour clinic. On the court, the coaches also included two of their current players, senior Jamie Gonzalez and eighth grader Carlo.
The clinic was a great success. Afterward, the campers were bussed back to the church to have lunch and continue the Aviva conference. Later that afternoon, Willy Contreras shared a message on how to be transformed rather than conformed to this world. After his message, the Edinburg team left camp and headed home.

The campers continued the Aviva conference, enjoying many outdoor activities while, most importantly, learning about their identity in Christ. Over 40 campers attended, and more than 15 adults helped organize and lead this impactful event. The conference concluded on Sunday morning, integrating the camp finale with the Sunday morning service.
It was a powerful conference and a beautiful weekend in Him.
